Be honest. When was the last time you had a pool day without thinking about your body once?
For me, it had been years.
I’m Natalia, a mom and the co-founder of Isola. And for a long time, I was the woman hiding at the pool.
It started before we even got out of the car. A towel around my waist for the walk to the beach. Arms crossed over my stomach. The lounger in the corner, with the towel on my lap all afternoon.
I didn’t enjoy a single vacation. I spent them watching my own body. Sucking in when someone walked past. Tugging my bottoms down every time I stood up. Stepping out of every photo.
When my friends planned a pool day, I found an excuse. And at night, I didn’t want my husband to see me in my swimsuit. I didn’t feel sexy. I was hiding from everyone, even him.
I tried every fix. The pricey tummy control suit. Shapewear under my swimsuit. The skirted one. The tankini. They all ended up in the same drawer.
So I decided the problem was my body. Too soft. Too tired. Too far past my bikini years.
Then I asked the women around me. Friends, neighbors, other moms at the pool. Every one of them had the same drawer. And the same towel.
That’s when it clicked.
It was never your body. It was the poorly designed swimsuits.
They’re cut for models, not for women who’ve had kids or a few birthdays. No diet fixes that. No amount of sucking in fixes that.
So we made swimsuits for real women’s bodies.
Here are the 7 things that change when you switch. I’ll start with the one everyone notices first, and end with the day that made me start Isola.
